Newsletter signup

Your inbox. Your choice.

The signup form asks for your email address and permission to send you Cash & Chaos.

What the form sends

When you subscribe, the website sends your email address to beehiiv, our newsletter platform, along with available source, medium, campaign, signup-form and referring-site labels. We use these to understand which sources bring newsletter readers. Research waitlist signups also send a research-interest tag so we can identify that interest in beehiiv. Beehiiv manages the subscription.

Signup and unsubscribe

New signups through this site do not require an email confirmation. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe option. Submitting this form does not automatically reactivate an address that previously unsubscribed.

Signup attribution

We keep the first available referral and campaign labels in this browser tab’s session storage for up to 24 hours. These labels can persist as you move between main-site pages. We send them to beehiiv only when you submit a signup. We strip query strings from referring URLs and do not collect search queries or full browsing history. Some browsers and apps hide referral information, so attribution can be incomplete.

Website operation

The hosting provider processes technical request information to serve the website. The signup endpoint applies basic abuse limits and does not deliberately log email addresses or API credentials in application logs.
